Work for a nonprofit?
Need a break or simply some focused time away?
A.J. Fletcher Foundation is offering our grantees some R&R.
What to expect:
We are offering our current grantees the chance to go to the St. Francis Springs Prayer Center in Rockingham County for an overnight restful retreat. There are a few caveats you should be aware of before you sign up to attend.
1) This offer is good for staff members and lead volunteers of our current grantees. If you're not sure if your organization is a current A.J. Fletcher Foundation grantee, you can email Nicole Stewart at nicole@ajf.org.
2) We really want you to immerse yourself in the rest and relaxation part of this self-guided, no-agenda retreat. You will be visiting St. Francis Springs Prayer Center on your own. So, however you best unwind, this is a space for you to do so. We’d recommend leaving your laptop at home. We hope you can use this trip as an opportunity to unplug and recharge your own batteries. Please note, there will be other individuals and groups using the Center at the same time as you.
3) This opportunity is separate from our grantmaking work. You should not feel obligated to take advantage of this. Rather, we are offering this as an additional means of support to you and your organization. No A.J. Fletcher Foundation staff nor board members will be present during your stay.
4) A.J. Fletcher Foundation will be covering the cost of your overnight stay and meals while you are at the St. Francis Springs Prayer Center. We assume that you will have your own means of transportation to get to/from St. Francis Springs Prayer Center in Stoneville, NC. However, if the cost of travelling will prevent you from participating, please email Nicole Stewart at nicole@ajf.org.
5) Upon your return, we are hoping that you will provide us with feedback about your time at St. Francis Springs Prayer Center.
