“The prison ministry allows you to see the person in all their complexity and work on that level. That’s what I find so fulfilling and satisfying [about this work,] because it gets down to the core of the issues that we all deal with. It’s not just whether or not you’ve made good choices that lead you to prison, but it’s issues of forgiveness, it’s issues of redemption, it’s issues of blame… it touches on a lot and that’s why I do this.”
