Each year, our team participates in the 9/11 Day of Service, the largest annual day of charitable engagement in the US. We think it’s important to help keep the spirit of unity and compassion alive by helping others, paying tribute to the 9/11 victims and honoring those who responded and served in response to the attacks.

This year, we joined Rotary Club of Durham and Downtown Durham YMCA for a Little Library Build Day. Little libraries are small containers of books that are accessibly placed in communities. They’re free to use, self sustaining, and provide great reading options, especially for kids! Together, we helped build, sand, prime, and paint some of these little libraries and can’t wait to see them around Durham!

As an organization that values volunteerism as an important facet of civic and community life, we proudly support Activate Good in their mission to activate volunteers to help charitable causes in the Triangle community. They work tirelessly each year, in partnership with local businesses and nonprofit organizations to provide dozens of volunteer opportunities on 9/11 Day. This year, projects ranged from beautifying schools and community centers to packaging food for those in need. To see their amazing work and impact first hand, visit and follow their facebook page at: www.facebook.com/activategood.
